We're supposed to be persecuted for our stance on truth, but supernaturally gifted and loving. But we get it wrong more often than we get it right because of popular theologians, preachers, authors, and seminaries. Who is right / wrong about it all though & religion / spirituality in general? People disagree & argue about all these areas all the time & always have done. Money / Economics - Politics - Religions - Guaranteed to cause arguments, hatreds, & on a wider global scale endless conflicts, violence & war. My 'ideal' world have no money, politics or religions. www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkgkThdzX-8

Not trying to be facetious but I have sat in more than one church service and thought 'here I am asking for my sins to be forgiven this week and I can't think of any particular sins' The language in the prayer book is somewhat inflexible.

I think if Jesus were around he may well have enjoyed yoga - the article mentions it being a way to be quiet, contemplate and get closer to God and likens it to the 'theatre' of the Church, flickering candles, music and all the rest.
I also like the image of the cross in front of the volcano, the might of nature.

I didn't know you used to go to church! : ) Most people here have been in one. Some stay, some find the pews uncomfortable

I also like the image of the cross in front of the volcano, the might of nature. i have little doubt that he was a high level yogi practitioner. A lot of writings / myth / legend is that Christ traveled across India / Nepal / Tibet & many other areas studying with the Masters / Teachers of many different traditions / religions / spiritual systems (certainly with Vedic priests) - that he was of royal lineage - which ultimately enabled him to be removed from the cross before death, after recovering from his wounds & being looked after by the Essenes he escaped back to India with their help & Mary Magdalene, having around 7 children & eventually dying & being buried in Kashmir. i know what i find more believable about the whole thing. www.youtube.com/watch?v=3W6mDUmPZ0Y

Do you think that Christ would approve of right wing neoliberal Capitalism? Organised religions / modern Christianity? Etc.

As a trailblazer I think he'd want us to be able to move forward - just one example, Catholic priests still cannot marry and it's 2020 - but more than that, respond to changing times and move with them in the best kindest way and would he care if someone never set foot in a church? - nah, probably not.

We live on a small blue dot many trillions upon trillions of times smaller than a pin head in relation to the entire Universe / Cosmos - that may well be part of the multiverse (7 or more Universes) - that all may well be a small part of a far larger reality - 12 densities / 24 dimensions (or more) - & a Being / Force - Source / Great Spirit that encompasses all of it. What would you think such a Being would consider of the totally unadvanced / backwards / barbaric & Insane human created Global Death system that is destroying the planet, of money / politics / organised religions to be on this planet? & of our species; dominated by Stupidity, Lies, Ego, Greed. Selfishness, Fear & Violence, in a state of Darkness & Sickness. If it was true that such a Being literally appeared here in the Middle East 2 thousand years ago & the best that we could do was to nail Him to a cross & kill him - & make His Crucifixion into some warped religion that has created endless suffering, torture, hatreds, conflicts, violence, war & death - if i was such a Being i would be severely tempted to annihilate the entire species.

I don't trust a lot of these churches. I have a group I fellowship with. I consider it my online church. I believe church consists of believers themselves, rather than just a building where they gather. I used to freak out, not having a physical church. Now, I'm happy to have found a great fellowship online with certain ones that live near me.

Not sure to the first one. Seriously? You think that Christ was right wing & a Capitalist? Glad that you have found something that helps & is a support.

You might think of right wing as something different than what I'm thinking. Define "right wing". I don't see a moral issue with capitalism. However my husband did point out that the early church enacted a sort of socialism. Everybody shared amongst each other and every need was taken care of. However, this was voluntary. I don't agree that a government should force people to do this.
