Jesus would not have approved of Yoga or any other spiritual practices outside the law of God. Jesus demanded exclusive devotion from His disciples and still does.

Hope that things are well with you. Thank you. Sorry to hear things are still tough. Since you asked, I go by the Bible. Jesus did too. Matthew 5:17-19 King James Version (KJV) 17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Jesus claimed equality with God. John 14:6 King James Version (KJV) 6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. I believe it's historically accurate. It's intellectually dishonest the way many people put Jesus in roles He Himself would have disagreed with.

Do you follow all the laws of the Old Testament? & a literal reading of the Bible? i'm not a Christian. i take many issue with Christianity & all organised religions. Jesus was Jewish - so he would have gone with the Old Testament.

My point is that it's intellectually dishonest when people take Jesus to be about an agenda He clearly would have been against. People tend to use Jesus for some strange agenda. I take issue with that as a misrepresentation of Jesus. When you say a literal reading of the Bible, do you mean reading it as if it's true? I do that. I follow the teachings of Jesus There are thousands of different denominations & interpretations on who Christ was, his life, the Bible, & what Christ taught. What does it all mean to you? What specific teachings of Christ do you follow & apply to your life?

I follow the teachings of Jesus There are thousands of different denominations & interpretations on who Christ was, his life, the Bible, & what Christ taught. What does it all mean to you? What specific teachings of Christ do you follow & apply to your life? I don't currently have a denomination. I struggled with it for a long time but now I have my "church" with like-minded people at a forum called Narrow Way. I think that a lot of Christianity in the west has been filled with man-made traditions accepted as Biblical truth. My strategy these days is to focus on seeking God directly in prayer and studying the Bible for myself. I have a Pastor, but he always promotes studying Scripture for yourself. It's the only way to know what actually was taught and not be put off by a counterfeit agenda. It could be a money agenda, a political agenda, but I think you know what I mean. So I follow the Bible and seek to do so in love. Without love, we Christians are just a bunch of religious people who think they're right and gave all the answers. The world has plenty of that. If that's all they see, then it's understandable that they reject our way. If anyone is to really find truth in this world, we must display a difference--- namely loving God, loving the Bible, loving one another, and loving our enemies. I think that, in my country, we have largely failed and have slid into a state of ineffectiveness. Christianity is supposed to be simple. It took me a long time to understand and to stop searching for a physical local church. I didn't read Scripture for myself, so I learned a lot of lies that made me fruitless. You asked what specific teachings I follow. 1. Love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. 2. Love your neighbor as yourself. 3. Gather together with other believers. 4. Love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you. 5. Walk by the Spirit and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
