So you know all about what he wrote & evolutionary theory but not read / studied any of it, other than what you were taught in high school. i see. Unfortunately I didn't go through a lot of primary texts in high school. They just summarized Evolution and taught it as fact.

If more than one Scripture applies to something, than all of the ones that apply should be taken into account. Would that apply to all religious texts / Holy books? & that they all need to be taken as a whole body of work? en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Religious_textsOr even with the many different Christian religious texts & many different versions of the Bible - have you read / studied them all?

If I wanted to criticize the Islamic Quran, Id want to be intellectually honest and not Cherry Pick Scriptures out of context.

Unfortunately I didn't go through a lot of primary texts in high school. They just summarized Evolution and taught it as fact. There is a certain standard with a high school level of education.

Do I need to? If so, why? i thought that you said it all needs seeing within the light of all scripture? I mean all 66 canon books of the Bible. Im not seeing why I need every version of the Bible out there. There are some pretty rubbish translations

Have you studied them all? Yes - a great deal of them & a number of religious texts from all the World religions / spiritual systems. Im tempted to say I should study them all too. And I should at some point. But in the case of debating you, I somehow doubt it would help. Correct me if Im wrong because if so, years of study is a just a small sacrifice if it would win you over. Even if I were to prove Christianity true, I doubt you would convert. Intellectual reasons arent the only ones people have for not being Christians. Still, the beauty of the internet is that my audience is a bit broader than just those participating in this forum. If all I do is destroy the idea that all Christians are mindless idiots in someone's eyes, than Ive accomplished something.

Im tempted to say I should study them all too. And I should at some point. Maybe be wise to see what other religions / spiritual systems are all about, yes. Win me over to what? Have to agree on what Christianity is to start off with, & even Christians don't agree on what it is.

Have to agree on what Christianity is to start off with, & even Christians don't agree on what it is. Win you over to becoming Christian. Ive never tried to hide that that was my goal. If I have to study and study and study---so be it. I just have no idea if it would help or not. I cannot force anyone to accept anything I say. All I can do is seek to become better at debate. As for what Christianity is, its not that complicated. Imo can be summed up by John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His own Begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall have everlasting life.

Correct me if Im wrong because if so, years of study is a just a small sacrifice if it would win you over. Win me over to an Americanized hard Right / nationalist / Capitalist / Evangelical Fundamentalist Biblical Literal Christianity? No thanks.
