My life feels quite fragmented.
i've made various attempts with work / training; a career, partners; trying to get my life together more - in between hospitalisations / major psychotic episodes / past addiction / periods of illness.
i trained as an artist, graphic designer, photographer, chef, IT engineer, & worked in catering, on building sites, & in a garden nursery, among various other things.
i'd like to try & get back into the art.
This mental health project / forum i can't see taking off, there just doesn't seem to be more interest in it all.
Would be good to try & write a book, but i just can't motivate myself to do it.
There is the ongoing addiction / mental health recovery - living independently - it's enough a lot of the time.
i have informally tried to be of service to others - & would like to work doing something trying to help others, but find the mental health field toxic at times & hard to navigate.
Am approaching age 50 & still no real idea of what to do more with my life.

With that level of long term illness anything you choose or manage to do is an achievement.
I feel it as well, it is very hard to find a way to fit in when there is low motivation, episodes of ill health and drug effects. Days are different. Too much stress is not a good thing either.
A creative path could be helpful - small projects to try things out. What was your favourite job from before?

This is it - everything has been / is very hard with the realities of the illness / condition. Yes just little projects to start. i have enjoyed working with computers the best.

That seems fairly clear then, computers.
Yes, some days I feel I can do various things, other days I think, er, no I can't.
