As long as people keep looking externally for wealth, the privately-owned “Babylonian Money-Magic Slave System” will be back again and again and again, in different guises…
The “Modern” System Of Creating Currency Out Of Debt Out Of Thin Air By Private Individuals Has It’s Roots In Ancient Sumeria And Babylon As Early As 2,270 BC

Scottish Government urged to scrap benefits and just pay everyone £2,400 instead.
www.mirror.co.uk/money/scottish-government-urged-scrap-benefits-15014179
"Welfare payments - excluding housing, disability benefits and the state pension - would also be scrapped."
So if you are classed as not disabled (which may depend on assessment) and don't have a job you could be living on just over £20 a week (plus housing benefit presumably).
After you have paid all the bills (if you are lucky) how do you live?

That level of UBI would not be 'good for health'. The story does mention that it would double eventually, still not v much - though at least if everyone got it would be a step in the right direction.

(if you are lucky) how do you live? Crime, begging or die. Exactly, is worse than the current situation.

Exactly, is worse than the current situation. It is worse for the 'poor, sick & disabled' - But that is always the main idea isn't it. They are best killed off.

As far as the promised 'austerity proof' benefits system that was meant to be coming in 2024, I don't think it will happen, especially if there is independence referendum before it.

Then all the people that get treated like shit continue to get treated like shit - it's no surprise is it.
