"I’d Wish You All A “Happy” New Year, but “Happiness” is just superficial anyway and mostly based on fleeting external circumstances trying to comfort the false self.
[let’s ignore the fact that New Year is not based on any natural cycles but on the out-of-tune Gregorian Calendar and is just a conditioned social convention at this point]
For 2024, I wish you disillusionment.
I don't mean this to be negative or based on ill will, nor do I wish you any harm. No, not at all, quite the opposite.
Disillusionment is a positive thing. It frees you from illusions about yourself, others, and the world. It aligns you with Truth.
It is the gateway toward true joy, fulfillment, abundance, and love aligned with who you truly are.
May you dive deep into the underworld and burn in the fire purification to be reborn like the phoenix and become real with yourself and your life, for that is the gateway for lasting “happiness.”
Disillusionment can be a painful process at times, but it is a positive process.
Many people have already experienced disillusionment over the past three years [maybe even you], but it was mostly regarding their worldviews. The next step is the internal journey for the inner and outer work need to go hand in hand.
Disillusionment is inevitable in the process of awakening.
But the real disillusionment that leads to a true Awakening [not an external information-based “awakening”] & way out of the Matrix occurs when we realize the “terror of the situation,” as Gurdjieff called it.
The embodied recognition of the terror of the situation results from facing yourself, the inner journey to “know thyself,” and engaging in sincere inner work to make the darkness conscious within yourself.
It requires ongoing in-depth psychological, somatic, trauma, shadow, and spiritual/esoteric work. It is far from easy but uncomfortable, confronting, and messy.
The ego and wounded self want to avoid it, coming up with all kinds of unconscious resistance resulting in excuses and justifications along with unconscious trauma responses, shadow projections, and interferences to distract you from the work and the necessary descent into the depth of your Being.
It is far more tempting to suppress/numb your pain, sadness, grief, shame, anger, and fear or project it externally and blame others and the world instead of looking within.
Hence, the Work requires the attitude of a spiritual warrior: will, determination, self-responsibility, self-honesty, sincerity, courage, vulnerability, focus, and 100% commitment.
Any weakness and blind spot will become a significant hindrance on the path and be used by the adverse occult forces to target and tempt the seeker away from the truth of his Being, keeping him chained in Plato’s cave, distracted by the shadows on the world stage.
Many of your desires, feelings, attachments, and behaviors can also be expressions of unconscious trauma responses from childhood wounding, lack of self-worth, and unconscious shame, resulting in trying to fill an empty hole within yourself via external means. But it is a bottomless hole.
Many desires we have that are externally directed to make us “happy” are an unconscious drive to seek the truth of our Being, your Essence, and the Divine within.
Many people suffer because they follow desires, aims, and goals that are not “their own” but have been programmed into them or are unconscious trauma responses.
We will never ever find true joy, freedom, fulfillment, or happiness as long as we are only externally oriented.
Moreover, you will still remain a slave if you only strive towards sovereignty externally.
Once you face “the terror of the situation” within yourself and the automated mechanical nature of many of your feelings, actions, and behaviors, you will also see this robotic mechanical behavior in others.
You will notice that most people are unconscious automatons driven by unconscious trauma and wounding, conditioning, and programming.
You see how people suffer, but they don’t know that they are suffering as their pain is masked up and suppressed, shoved deep into the unconscious, and hardened in the body-mind. All of it is covered up by the false self, the external personality mask.
Billions of people are sleepwalking, dreaming of being awake.
It’s a humbling experience. It is dark and disturbing, yet liberating and enlightening at the same time. It’s impossible to put it into the limited constructs of language and words.
Once you cross that threshold and start to “see the unseen,” there is no turning back to your “normal” life. At that moment, you really took the “red pill.”
It will prioritize what truly matters in your life. You won’t waste time and energy anymore on the trivialities of official mainstream cult-ure, and you cannot relate to many goals, pleasures, and desires you had in the past. You realize that many of them stem from your programmed, wounded personality.
It is the starting point of the process of individuation, where you will also need to face isolation, loneliness, and alienation as part of the process to escape the sleepwalking consensus state of humanity.
This phase of alienation and isolation entails lessons to test the sincerity of the seeker.
They have been symbolized in many esoteric metaphors of “crossing the moat threshold” to “enter the Kingdom,” with guardians providing riddles and tests for the soul that wishes to find and realize itself and leave the “wilderness” of the matrix.
Many people tend to get stuck in this stage. The alienation and loneliness can make people become hardened, cynical, and nihilistic, and they tend to blame the world for their misery in a victim mentality and get "black-pilled."
They start to see traps everywhere, engaging in psychological splitting (stuck in oversimplified black-and-white thinking). They get caught in doom & gloom and negativity, and they resist the necessary [internal] death-rebirth process to individuate.
Individuation is a necessary stage before we can embark on deeper spiritual/esoteric work to spiritualize our being. Embarking on the process of Individuation is “taking the red pill” from an esoteric perspective.
Another very common trap of skipping the process of individuation results in spiritual bypassing when the wounded ego tries to take on a spiritual identity, believing itself to be “better,” “special,” or already "awake" [I’m a “star seed,” “lightworker,” "I ascended to 5D", etc.]. It can also be an unconscious trauma response.
Many people don’t have what it takes to “cross the threshold” nor the warrior attitude to commit to The Work and hence try to go back to their “old life” – they keep living “in-between” lives and can’t let go. Some of us may need a few more lifetimes or experience more experiences and suffering until our soul is ripe [grown enough] to fully “answer the call” consciously,
As it is written, “Many are called, few choose to answer the call.” There is no judgment about that, for there are many different levels of being within humanity, and there won’t be a collective awakening anytime soon. The answer to the call is a full embodied YES that lays no conditions on how the process will unfold, for it is in God’s hands.
Grounded humility is necessary to surrender to the Divine and to realize the truth of your Being. Facing the “terror of the situation” within yourself lays the foundation for the Great Work to escape the matrix and transform yourself and the world.
It’s the passage and threshold to align with Divine Will and spiritualize your Being, bringing the soul “to the front” via soul embodiment and living in the real “I.”
There, you will find true joy, love, prosperity, abundance, and fulfillment.
This is the descent necessary for the ascent, collectively and personally. It’s a long and oftentimes difficult but necessary process over many lifetimes during this Time of Transition as part of the evolution of consciousness.
It's not about escaping the world but fully engaging in it with your whole being.
The only way out is in and through.
Godspeed.
Bernhard Guenther
The truth of the matter is that most people who say they want awakening don’t actually “want to awaken."
"The truth of the matter is that most people who say they want awakening don’t actually “want to awaken." They want their version of awakening. What they actually want is to be really happy in their dream state. And that’s okay if that’s as far as they’ve evolved.
But the real, sincere impulse toward enlightenment is something that goes far beyond the desire to make our dream state better. It is an impulse that is willing to subject itself to whatever is needed in order to wake up.
The authentic impulse toward enlightenment is that internal prayer asking for whatever it is that will bring us to a full awakening, no matter whether it turns out to be wonderful or terrible. It is an impulse that puts no conditions on what we have to go through.
This authentic impulse can be a bit frightening because when you feel it, you know it is real. When you have let go of all conditions - when you have let go of how you want your own awakening to be and what you want the journey to be like - you have let go of your illusion of control.
Enlightenment is a destructive process. It has nothing to do with becoming better or being happier. Enlightenment is the crumbling away of untruth. It's seeing through the facade of pretense. It's the complete eradication of everything we imagined to be true.
In my experience, everyone will say they want to discover the Truth, right up until they realize that the Truth will rob them of their deepest held ideas, beliefs, hopes, and dreams. The freedom of enlightenment means much more than the experience of love and peace.
It means discovering a Truth that will turn your view of self and life upside-down.
For one who is truly ready, this will be unimaginably liberating. But for one who is still clinging in any way, this will be extremely challenging indeed.
How does one know if they are ready? One is ready when they are willing to be absolutely consumed when they are willing to be fuel for a fire without end.”
