Everything I Know: 42 Hours of Buckminster Fuller’s Visionary Lectures Free Online (1975) www.openculture.com/2012/08/ieverything_i_knowi_42_hours_of_visionary_buckminster_fuller_lectures_1975.html"Think of the name Buckminster Fuller, and you may think of a few oddities of mid-twentieth-century design for living: the Dymaxion House, the Dymaxion Car, the geodesic dome. But these artifacts represent only a small fragment of Fuller's life and work as a self-styled "comprehensive anticipatory design scientist." In his decades-long project of developing and furthering his worldview — an elaborate humanitarian framework involving resource conservation, applied geometry, and neologisms like "tensegrity," "ephemeralization," and "omni-interaccommodative" — the man wrote over 30 books, registered 28 United States patents, and kept a diary documenting his every fifteen minutes. These achievements and others have made Fuller the subject of at least four documentaries and numerous books, articles, and papers, but now you can hear all about his thoughts, acts, experiences, and times straight from the source in the 42-hour lecture series Everything I Know, available to download at the Internet Archive. Though you'd perhaps expect it of someone whose journals stretch to 270 feet of solid paper, he could really talk."

Smart Forest City Cancun Design Is First 100% Renewable Circular Economy City by Dan EdelDecember 27, 2019 Architecture firm Stefano Boeri Architetti based in Milan, Italy has designed plans for a sustainable city in Cancun, Mexico. Dubbed ‘Smart Forest City Cancun’, the plan is to have this be a model for future sustainable urban projects. It was created for Grupo Karim’s, a real estate and textile company from Honduras and is an alternative plan to a shopping district in the area. The area is 557 hectares or around 1376 acres and is currently being used as a sand quarry for hotels. The proposed plan for the city would be for it to be 100% sustainable, produce its food and energy and would be home to 130,000 inhabitants. www.intelligentliving.co/smart-forest-city-cancun-first-renewable-circular-economy-city/

Economics for the future – Beyond the superorganism N.J.Hagens ABSTRACT "Our environment and economy are at a crossroads. This paper attempts a cohesive narrative on how human evolved behavior, money, energy, economy and the environment fit together. Humans strive for the same emotional state of our successful ancestors. In a resource rich environment, we coordinate in groups, corporations and nations, to maximize financial surplus, tethered to energy, tethered to carbon. At global scales, the emergent result of this combination is a mindless, energy hungry, CO2 emitting Superorganism. Under this dynamic we are now behaviorally ‘growth constrained’ and will use any means possible to avoid facing this reality. The farther we kick the can, the larger the disconnect between our financial and physical reality becomes. The moment of this recalibration will be a watershed time for our culture, but could also be the birth of a new ‘systems economics’. and resultant different ways of living. The next 30 years are the time to apply all we’ve learned during the past 30 years. We’ve arrived at a species level conversation." www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0921800919310067

"As of 1970, keeping track of all the environment controlling, all the logistics of thinking about total planet--for Spaceship Earth, in 1970, we passed a threshold where it could be demonstrated, engineering-wise, that if we took all the metals going into armaments and put them into what you call livingry, instead of killingry, that within a design revolution of only ten years we could have all humanity living at a higher standard of living than anybody had ever known, on a completely sustainable basis, while phasing out forever all further use of fossil fuels and atomic energy. We could live entirely on our energy income. Now this is absolutely clear in 1970, we passed that threshold. For the first time in history, I knew it Obsolete did not have to be you or me! That war was obsolete." ~Buckminster Fuller www.bfi.org/about-fuller/resources/articles-transcripts/earthians-critical-moment

Is The Venus Project interested/capable of coordinating with other groups, intentional communities, individuals, to organize a resource based society distributed throughout the current society? Put another way, is TVP organizing the transition itself? Or just providing an example of what is possible with the intention of society as a whole enacting the switch over? We are not about intentional or sustainable communities living well to themselves. We are introducing an alternative global society. If there are intentional communities that are interested in working with us towards the aims and direction of The Venus Project we would welcome this but we know of no other groups who have been advocating this direction. We have always been trying to inform people, groups and communities about this alternative direction. We can use all the help we can get to bring this about. At this stage, we are not in a position of power in order to make a transition. We would like to initiate as much of it as we can, if we get that opportunity. We are always working toward this. www.thevenusproject.com/faq/is-tvp-interested-capable-coordinating-with-other-groups-organize-resource-based-society-distributed-throughout-the-current-society/

Scientific Method to Bridge the Differences www.thevenusproject.com/multimedia/scientific-method-to-bridge-the-differences/The short term challenge for scientists is to develop methods to present science and technology using language easily understood by those less familiar with scientific method. This might be accomplished with books, videos, and CDs which could help bridge the gaps between science and ignorance. At present, most of these difficulties exist in the fields of communication and education. TVP recommends Carl Sagan’s The Demon-Haunted World: Science as a Candle in the Dark to anyone interested in exploration of this area.

Money Free Party en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Money_Free_PartyThe Money Free Party is a political movement that has claimed to have parties in 16 countries: United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, Canada, United States, Sri Lanka, Portugal, South Africa, India, Italy, Ghana, Brazil, Argentina, Netherlands, Belgium and Romania.[1][non-primary source needed] The party advocates for a resource-based economy,[2] a world of free access where all work is voluntary. The party has also established resource-based economy groups in other countries around the world.[citation needed] It is based upon the ideals of Jacque Fresco, as advocated by the US-based The Venus Project.[3] The movement has fielded candidates in several elections across at least two countries, but has not won any positions.
