Consciousness and The Brain in a Fractal-Holographic Universe "The mystery of consciousness poses perhaps one of the greatest problems in the history of science. How does one quantify the inner life of a sentient being? How does physical processes in the brain translate to the immaterial richness of subjective experience? Contemporary theories in the cognitive sciences approach consciousness and brain function purely from a neurocomputational paradigm in which the brain is compared to a computer, the function of which can be described by the base units of neurons. However, although neuronal networks certainly displays computer-like processes, the computer-analogy falls short in determining how such computations can possibly instantiate the conscious state. Interestingly, a recent scientific study has uncovered the presence of quantum vibrations within microtubules in the brain, indicating that brainwaves may derive from deeper level interactions with the quantum structure of space-time. Considering these findings in light of Haramein´s description of the fractal-holographic space-time manifold, we may appreciate the intricacies of consciousness and brain function from an entirely different perspective, which may ultimately alter our understanding of space, time and our place in the universe." holofractal.net/2015/09/01/consciousness-and-the-brain-in-a-fractal-holographic-universe/

Altered States of Consciousness: The Neuropsychology of How Time Perception Modulates Our Experience of Self, from Depression to Boredom to Creative Flow “The brain does not simply represent the world in a disembodied way as an intellectual construct… Our mind is body-bound. We think, feel, and act with our body in the world. All experience is embedded in this body-related being-in-the-world.” www.brainpickings.org/2019/07/19/altered-states-of-consciousness-marc-wittmann/

There are all sorts of problems that stem from naïveté, according to which objectivistic science holds what it calls the objective world to be the totality of what is, without paying any attention to the fact that no objective science can do justice to the subjectivity that achieves science. Edmund Husserl, The Crisis of European Man; (1936)

The fact that the underlying laws of physics are deterministic and impersonal does not mean that at the human level we can't talk about ideas about reasons and goals and purposes and free will.

The Idea of the World: A multi-disciplinary argument for the mental nature of reality by Bernardo Kastrup "A rigorous case for the primacy of mind in nature, from philosophy to neuroscience, psychology and physics. The Idea of the World offers a grounded alternative to the frenzy of unrestrained abstractions and unexamined assumptions in philosophy and science today. This book examines what can be learned about the nature of reality based on conceptual parsimony, straightforward logic and empirical evidence from fields as diverse as physics and neuroscience. It compiles an overarching case for idealism - the notion that reality is essentially mental - from ten original articles the author has previously published in leading academic journals. The case begins with an exposition of the logical fallacies and internal contradictions of the reigning physicalist ontology and its popular alternatives, such as bottom-up panpsychism. It then advances a compelling formulation of idealism that elegantly makes sense of - and reconciles - classical and quantum worlds. The main objections to idealism are systematically refuted and empirical evidence is reviewed that corroborates the formulation presented here. The book closes with an analysis of the hidden psychological motivations behind mainstream physicalism and the implications of idealism for the way we relate to the world." www.bernardokastrup.com/Idealism - plato.stanford.edu/entries/idealism/en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IdealismThe Three Simultaneously True Levels of Nondual Reality (one Absolutely True, the other two “relatively true”) 3 - Conventional level 2 - Psychic-Soul level 1 - ONLY GOD www.enlightened-spirituality.org/3_levels_of_nondual_Reality.htmlen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nondualism
