When you realise just 5 conservative billionaires control more than 80% of the UK media quotes from Edward Bernays really explain the level of brainwashing...
"The conscious and intelligent manipulation of the organized habits and opinions of the masses is an important element in democratic society. Those who manipulate this unseen mechanism of society constitute an invisible government which is the true ruling power of our country.
We are governed, our minds are molded, our tastes formed, our ideas suggested, largely by men we have never heard of."
"Fifty years ago, the public meeting was a propaganda instrument par excellence. To-day it is difficult to get more than a handful of people to attend a public meeting unless extraordinary attractions are part of the program. The automobile takes them away from home, the radio keeps them in the home, the successive daily editions of the newspaper bring information to them in office or subway, and also they are sick of the ballyhoo of the rally.
Instead there are numerous other media of communication, some new, others old but so transformed that they have become virtually new. The newspaper, of course, remains always a primary medium for the transmission of opinions and ideas—in other words, for propaganda. "
Edward Bernays - Propaganda - 1928

Where is all the money coming for the current system & treatment? Globally over £120 Billion pounds profit being earned by the pharmaceutical industry. The UK is spending £16 Billion per year on pharmaceutical drugs (20% of the UK diagnosed as mentally ill & on psychiatric drugs - 50% of the UK on one or more pharmaceutical drug for psychiatric & / or physical health condition - in the USA it's 40% & 80% respectively) . Estimated societal cost of schizophrenia alone to the UK per year is upwards of £6.7 Billion. Total economic cost of mental health difficulties to the UK per year upwards of £105.2 Billion. & some people are moaning about magick money trees & where is all the money going to come from? & all the while we're seeing mental health difficulties at epidemic proportions, as well as addiction being through the roof (50% of all mental health conditions are Dual Diagnosis - addiction & mental illness), along with all the societal & personal costs - a UK prison, criminal / justice system that has totally lost control - & the potential for even more societal breakdown & chaos. & some people can't see any alternatives, & how all that money could be far better spent & people far better treated? Really?

The wider economic costs of mental illness in England have been estimated at £105.2 billion each year. This includes direct costs of services, lost productivity at work and reduced quality of life 2. apps.warwickshire.gov.uk/api/documents/WCCC-630-158

This little summary shows the level of need for psychological therapies in England, over 1.3 million new referrals in the last year - and what about the number of people who go private, doesn't even cover them; digital.nhs.uk/catalogue/PUB30157

www.taxresearch.org.uk/Blog/2017/12/13/why-modern-capitalism-does-not-work/"Why modern capitalism does not work Posted on December 13 2017 The FT summarised modern capitalism in two lines this morning: Boeing shares hit another record high after the company boosted its quarterly dividend by a fifth and announced a $18bn share buyback programme. A business fuelled by the world's wealthiest people (you have to be to travel, and I am personally aware of this) and the defence sector is returning vast sums of cash to shareholders rather than invest it in new products, services and training with the aim of lifting the share price in the short term to, no doubt, trigger executive share price related incentive scheme payouts that will massively and wholly disproportionately increase the reward of a few in the company at cost to all the rest and society at large. If you want to know why modern capitalism does not work, that's why. It's called rentierism by management. It's rampant. It's corrupting. And it's undermining the way our economy and society works."
