The 1970s Cow Mutilation Mystery When ranchers began reporting incidents of mutilated cattle, the ensuing panic fed both conspiracy theories and a growing cynicism about the government. daily.jstor.org/the-1970s-cow-mutilation-mystery/In the 1970s, ranchers all over the country began reporting something strange. Their cows were turning up dead, with portions of their faces and genitals removed. Historian Michael J. Goleman dove into the mystery, and found answers that had nothing to do with aliens or satanic cults. Goleman writes that the reports of cattle mutilations began in 1973, mostly in the West and Midwest. It was often small-scale ranchers who reported them. When local law enforcement agencies investigated, they frequently found that the cows’ ears, eyes, rectums, and sex organs had been cut away with “surgical precision.” According to newspaper reports, more than 10,000 of the incidents occurred by the end of the decade. Some suggested that the mutilations might be part of a secret government program testing biological weapons. Some news stories suggested UFOs or cults might be involved. But among ranchers, the most common theory was that this was a government conspiracy. Some suggested that the mutilations might be part of a secret government program testing biological weapons. Some reported seeing unmarked helicopters near the crime scenes and even being chased by the aircraft. In a few cases, incensed ranchers shot at government helicopters. The threat was serious enough that the Nebraska National Guard began flying at 2,000 feet rather than 1,000 during its exercises.

SETI Researchers Are Simulating Alien Contact — and You Can Help Is it a multimedia art project? Or a rehearsal for alien contact? Let’s call it both: Researchers specializing in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, or SETI, are working with a media artist to stage the receipt of an interstellar message — and a global effort to decode the message. The project, titled “A Sign in Space,” is orchestrated by media artist Daniela de Paulis in collaboration with the SETI Institute, the European Space Agency, the Green Bank Observatory and the Italian National Institute for Astrophysics (also known as INAF). The metaphorical curtain rises on May 24, when ESA’s ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter transmits an encoded radio message from Martian orbit to Earth at 19:00 UTC / noon PDT. www.universetoday.com/161511/seti-researchers-are-simulating-alien-contact-and-you-can-help/

Breakaway Civilization www.exopaedia.org/Breakaway+CivilizationThe term "Breakaway Civilization" was coined by Richard Dolan after his exhaustive and extensive research into his books UFOs and the National Security State Volumes 1 and 2. He came to the realization that the deep secretive black budget world had actually become a civilization on its own with its own exotic technology, a different view of the cosmos, our place in it, and a different version of Human history. (http://breakawaycivilization.com/about/) In one of his lectures (San Mateo), he defined a breakaway civilization as "a radically advanced and increasingly separate structure that has access to classified science and data denied to the rest of us." In After Disclosure he described the Breakaway Civilization as follows: "There is a clandestine group that possesses: Technology that is vastly superior to that of the “mainstream” world. The ability to explore areas of our world and surroundings presently unavailable to the rest of us. Possible interactions or encounters with the Others who are here in our reality. Scientific and cosmological understandings that give them greater insights into the nature of our world. A significant “built-off-the-grid” infrastructure, partially underground, that affords them a high degree of secrecy and independence of action." Controversial and self-proclaimed whistleblower Corey Goode claims there is not one, but at least 11 breakaway civilizations. Most of these would be subterranean. Some of those used to be in an alliance - allegedly called the Secret Space Program Alliance - but would have split up. He does not provide any evidence whatsoever to back up his claims.
