Some of them are full on right wing libertarians and criticise anyone who claims benefits because of mental health problems. They see it as a lifestyle choice. This is a common view, even amongst less politically astute people. i know - & it's a growing attitude - & seriously worrying.

It's Not surprising though is it - seriously look at history - it's all just business as usual.

Well I certainly don't find it surprising, no. Then again I tend to be an pessimist so I wouldn't. I lost faith in humans a long time ago and much prefer animals, as they accept you regardless of your faults, don't judge, and love unconditionally. In many ways they seem much further evolved than humans, although we are technically animals too. We are much more like savages/'animals' than they are in my opinion.

Well it scared the shit out of me when I was 17, but the idea of an omnipresent evil that can punish you for not doing what they want is unsettling. Maybe my strength of belief in it was more a symptom of psychosis than OCD and the doctors got it wrong? But one is classified as a neurosis and the other psychosis, so am back to the original question, where does one end and the other begin? It is a very medical model type way of thinking, and not really taking everything into account.
Best to think outside the box really, but people are so lacking in understanding around the whole 'psychosis' thing, once again Hollywood has a part to play there.
To add to the previous links / conversation - this is an interesting author & course as well - Claregate Metaphysics - www.claregategroup.org/about/course-overview-content/i wouldn't take the course - But some of their books are good - including this one - The Inner Journey: Pathways to the Higher Self by Gary Kidgell Dr Douglas Baker - www.douglasbaker.com/www.claregategroup.org/articles/douglas-baker/All the in essence same material / knowledge as other authors / areas.
