A revolution is long overdue in this country. We are too worried about who wins Strictly, however. Bread and circuses.
I can't see it happening here.

Also as usual if you are not worshipping at the altar of Big Pharma you are called 'dangerous'. Criticising the efficacy and unwanted effects of meds is not 'dangerous', it is healthy debate.

Also Caroline Flack felt she had to keep quiet about taking them at the time to maintain the facade - seems a bit strange to get an antidepressant which could take weeks to work for acute anxiety presenting a TV show, the series would have almost been over before there was much effect.

I think the part of the article where it says that antidepressants do make you happy is misleading. They lift mood, but when you are depressed that doesn't automatically mean you are happy. They tend to maintain a constant flat emotional state, in which you can almost feel disconnected from being truly human.

I would also say lucky her, that she can go to a 'juice retreat' (whatever that is) in the Mediterranean to wean herself off meds, how the other half live.

Yes, luxury retreats to get off antidepressants would be very nice, they don't even have to be in the Med, I'm not fussy.

I agree but I suppose some people would argue that we are more 'highly evolved' than other species. Really this article puts it into perspective and I think said people need to recognise we should know our place in a finely balanced world of nature.
