I'm trying to change the colours on the default setting, so everything could keep changing

the white background has come up on the pro-blue board, so members have the choice of two skins atm,
the problue one is better than the default now ;D

Have settled on this default colour scheme for now.

It's looking OK to me, for one. The blue background isn't looking "samey" to me, as it was before. There's enough contrast between the three shades of blue.

If you go onto 'profile' (at top of page) then 'Modify Profile' then there is the option to change the Skin - there are currently 2 options 'Default' & 'Black & White'. I can have a go at creating more if people want?
I have changed the default to white background/black text - as it is easier to read.

Now I'm seeing alternating dark blue and white (off-white?) bands for successive posts, with an overall primrose (or at any rate, pale) yellow background. Still legible, and not too painful on these old eyes.
I don't see any button, or anything, for customising my view of the forum.
OK, just seen your post! Have done some modifications to my profile. Clock now showing BST. Haven't tried changing skins yet. New default black text on white background with pale yellow border/frame is also OK with me.

How odd - you should be able to change the colours as described above.

How odd - you should be able to change the colours as described above. Our posts crossed. Everything seems to be as it should be.

Ah that's great. I've done my best to make it all look as easy on the eyes as possible.
Am still not sure how to increase font/icon size Other than 'zoom in' function on browser (currently using firefox)

I've had a lot of problems with my eyes recently (since they both became infected a few weeks ago), but I can read even the small text in this forum, even on this fading 15" CRT screen, without difficulty.
The only exception is the font used for the button labels: it's pretty and cheerful, but I have to squint to make out what it says, and I can only be sure by hovering the mouse pointer over it and waiting for a little popup to appear.

Sorry to hear that you have been having problems with your eyes. I hope that clears up soon.
It's very blurred on my screen too - have changed main menu items at top of screen - will try & change icon package.

2 options for icon packages - & both are rubbish, each icon can be individually changed - but it has to be done from a URL, & original images. I'll ask about it all in the support forum.
